Every dog owner knows how quickly furry best friends assimilate into the family. However, that doesn’t mean that caring for dogs is always easy, especially when you account for their daily walks, trips to the groomers and vets, and clipping their toenails, which doesn’t always sit well with the canine crowd.

More often than not, the mere sight of clippers is enough to send your dog into a frenzy, desperate as s/he is to avoid this uncomfortable chore. Nor is the task easy on the humans involved.

Every dog owner knows the guilt and pain involved with clipping your furry friend’s nails too far. Clipping your pet’s nails is painstaking work and, unfortunately, the odds of having an accident greatly increase when your dog is frantically trying to wriggle away.

This enduring dilemma led one enterprising dog owner, Kendal Peifer, to throw a bone to her fellow dog-lovers by sharing a unique trick online. Peifer’s dad has long been in the habit of suspending their Boston Terrier in an old purse-turned-hammock attached to the door frame.

Not only does this one-of-a-kind getup help Kendal’s dad to clip the dog’s nails without too much resistant, even the dog seems to be a little more relaxed. Regardless, Twitter loved it. Within minutes, the video had gone viral.

“That’s hilarious and genius,” one user wrote. Another described the gravity-defying purse hack as the best thing she’d seen all day. We’re just happy the Peifer’s found a way to remove some of the stress from this nerve-wracking chore, and that Kendal managed to get a picture!
