Key Lime Pie originated in Key West, Florida sometime in the late 1800s. This singular pie is traditionally made with key limes, which grow native in Key West. The key lime is more tart and aromatic than the traditional lime you see in the grocery store and while plenty of pies throughout the country use those more common limes, there’s just nothing like the real Floridian thing.

5) While nowadays you see this soup from coast to coast, it was once known in one area only. In fact, it was featured on the menu at Ye Olde Union Oyster House by 1836, which is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in this country. While there are a few versions of Clam Chowder known throughout America, we’re partial to the creamy version. Do you know where it originated?
