Woman Impales Herself With High Heel Fleeing From Giant Spider
Australia is known for having some serious spiders, like the Huntsman spider which can grow to be the size of a dinner plate. They’re generally harmless, but apparently, you can get in some trouble if you’re not careful around them.
25-year-old Alyssa Lambert learned the hard way just how dangerous Huntsman spiders can be after she required an ambulance ride and surgery following an encounter with one.

As Lambert shared with The Daily Mail, she was attempting to spray a spider she saw in her room with bug spray when she thought it lunged at her.
In a panic, she jumped off her bed at her home in Sydney and landed right on top of a stiletto heel. The heel went right through her foot.

So, it wasn’t exactly the spider that caused her issues, but her reaction to the spider. Still, the young woman had to be rushed to the hospital via ambulance and undergo surgery to remove the heel.
Lambert shared with The Daily Mail that the doctors were all baffled at how she managed to impale herself with such a thick object. “Everyone at the hospital was just so amazed that I managed to puncture my foot with a heel that thick,” she said.

Thankfully, Lambert is now on the mend. She’ll need crutches for a few weeks but her foot should be back to normal over time.
