Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate, there’s never a need for a good reason to eat this food (food group in my opinion), but it’s nice to use Valentine’s Day as an excuse. The best thing about Valentine’s Day is that there’s a flavor of chocolate for everyone. What you choose to chow down on may say more about your personality and romantic senses than you think.

Bitter Chocolate

If you like a bite of the bitter side of chocolate, then you like things intense, and to stay intense. It doesn’t matter what way you eat it, bitter chocolate powers the mouth with a drying sensation and is a serious contender for attention. You may not show off initially with emotions, but you have an inner steady sense of self, just know that not everyone is willing to wait for your love to arrive. The hard reality is that patience is a virtue however not everyone is up to the challenge of waiting. Holding an inward intensity as well, you are prone to losing out on your ability to communicate and it can get in the way. An acquired taste for many, bitter chocolate lovers will get love, but it’s all a matter of the right patience match.

Milk Chocolate

Calling milk chocolate treats your go-to Valentine’s Day sweet doesn’t mean you are boring in any sense of the word. Your middle-of-the-road senses and steadfast even temperament make you friendly and agreeable to most, but to the right person, you’ll be something beyond traditional. Your sensible mindset means you know how to slow things down, melting with the moment. Just like the creamy but chocolatey notes of milk chocolate, you can get things done like an energetic cupid running through his love-arrow checklist, but you also schedule time for you and the right person, you’re all about special experiences.

White Chocolate

As contested as white chocolate is, if you call a bite of a white chocolate anything your Valentine’s Day favorite, then you are more passionate than you admit yourself to be. The intense sweetness and rich buttery quality of white chocolate mean you want romance, even if it is a little corny. Nothing throws you off course as you see the broader, main picture in sight at all times. This doesn’t mean that you don’t enjoy the small things, you look for the simple pleasures of life, and frilly things like a cute card and a bunch of floral roses, lift your mood fast. You don’t like the complexities or multiple notes of conflict — and just like a love story — you’re always looking for the road that leads to a happy ending.

Filled Chocolates

If single-note flavors bore you to the core, then know you’re not alone! When you look for chocolate and another filling or flavor, then you’re also expanding your story in the best possible way! Just like a good relationship, you’re always looking for that great partnership of flavors. Whether it be nuts, caramels, or buttercream centers, you know life is better when you’re open. You see potential in everything and leap to grab the chance to try something different.

Savory Chocolates

When your sweet needs a counter of savoriness, then you know how to be the best-grounded version of yourself. Just like a dash of salt, a crumble of bacon, or a sprinkling of spice packs an intense taste, it shows how much you value contrast as well as balance. For savory chocolate lovers, the headiness of a romance needs a grounding of earthly reality. You’re willing to set course on unusual routes, but you always do so with a head set firmly between your shoulders. Sometimes you lose yourself by being too practical, and the energy of love loses its luster, having you search again and again for another hit of excitement. Just now, you can foster and nurture a romance, even if there is a level of adventure you’re looking for — now sometimes you’ll have to compromise.
