If most people were to hear multiple tornado sirens going off in their neighborhood, they’d probably run to a basement or other safe space. Max Kinstler, however, isn’t most people.

When he realized four tornado sirens were going off in his town of Iowa City, Iowa, he knew he had to get outside and capture the sound of the sirens. As he discovered on his computer, the sirens were all overlapping – causing an accidental harmony.

According to his website, Max is a journalist, photographer, and award-winning filmmaker. It’s likely that he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to capture such an incredible moment on film, and the world of TikTok is certainly glad of that.

Max, (@maxoto_), uploaded the video of the harmonizing sirens on the app and the video quickly went viral. People couldn’t believe how beautiful and eerie such a sound could be.

In the caption, Max wrote, “This was by far the coolest sound I will ever hear, turn up the volume for this one!” He added in the video that was the “most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard.”

In the comments of the video, which received nearly 18 million views, many people agreed with him, saying it sounded like Jesus was coming or angels were singing. Others commented on how they couldn’t believe he would take a stroll outside with so many tornado warnings going off.

While didn’t explain his logic behind going out in the weather, he did comment in a follow-up video, “I like extreme weather, what can I say.”
