The parent-child bond is a strong one, especially when we’re little. When we’re kids, our parents are everything to us. It makes sense, we are helpless and depend on them for our very survival.
But also, they’re the people that are there from day one, the ones who love us the most, champion us the most, and are there no matter what.
If we’re lucky enough to have parents like that, we’ve got everything we need for a wonderful childhood. Seeing little kids get excited to see their parents is never not heartwarming.
But this one particular video, while sweet, also has a rather funny moment. For most of us, growing up meant that dad or mom was often at work.
They’d go off in the mornings and then come home either in the afternoons or evenings. As kids, a fair few of us probably got excited when dad or mom was home and would run outside to greet them.
I was definitely that kid that bolted for the door as soon as I saw my dad’s car pulling into the driveway. The little baby in the video is the same, running right up to dad when he sees him pull up in his truck.
But the child is wearing a baseball cap, and he proceeds to chuck it off his head in a very funny manner as he runs. It’s a priceless moment that his mother – Alexis Hatter – caught on video and then posted to TikTok.
