Disney+ is looking to add another feather to their cap and we cannot wait to check this one out for ourselves.

Tim Allen, who offered a memorable portrayal of the lovable (yet accident-prone) Scott Calvin in the original “Santa Clause,” is back to reprise the iconic role.

According to Variety, the limited series will also be executive produced by Tim Allen. The elevator pitch is a very simple one. The series is going to take place in the future, where Calvin is now 65 years old and in the midst of contemplating his retirement.

However, it is hard to retire when you are Santa Claus. Since the original Santa fell off his roof and triggered the titular Santa Clause, the job has been his.

Now, it is time for Calvin to find his successor and the series will focus on this search. Calvin’s family is also going to have to learn how to readjust to society outside of the North Pole. This is Allen’s fourth time donning the white beard and it has become one of his signature roles.

It’s right there next to the iconic voice-over work he has done as Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story series.

We cannot wait to see the amazing adventures that they have cooked up. Production begins in March and if we had to guess, the series will be ready for streaming by the time Christmas rolls around this year.
