Quick Way To Throw Away Hot Cooking Oil In A Pinch

Cooking or frying with oil is one of those things that tastes delicious but is a major pain to clean up. Not only does the grease splatter everywhere, but the remnant oil needs to be tossed away as well. While waiting for the oil to cool is the most optimal option, sometimes, we need to dispose of things away in a timely manner. Here is a safe way to toss warm oil.

There are so many tricks and tips online, and this one on TikTok was posted by user juju.cares shows how to throw out oil you don’t want to keep around. While many in the comments complained that it could be tossed later on, sometimes there isn’t enough kitchen real estate to have a frying pan sit around with tons of oil in it. Essentially, if you need to clean up everything in a pinch, then this is it!

Using the sink drain as a mold, place a large sheet of foil in the bottom of the sink, pressing the foil into the drain to form a concave shape.

Pour the oil into this aluminum foil well, making sure the oil only goes into the concave hole-like indentation.

Next, crimp and fold the foil onto itself, creating a well-closed pouch.

With the oil firmly sealed, the oil can be quickly and safely tossed away. Since the hot oil is contained in the foil, it won’t melt through a garbage bag.
