Temporary tattoos can be a lot of fun, as they allow us to enjoy all of the benefits of tattoos without permanence.

However, this woman got far more than she ever could have bargained for this past Halloween and our heart certainly goes out to her. We cannot believe what she is going through. It all started when this TikTok user decided to get a temporary skeleton tattoo on her face for Halloween.

This is a common decision, right? It’s not like anyone would have looked at her sideways in the moment. Elizabeth Rose, 46, has posted a video that is sure to scare many of us from ever making this type of decision in our own lives.

Despite the fact that she has scrubbed her face to the bone, the temporary skeleton tattoo will simply not come off!

“I put a tattoo sticker on,” she says at the beginning of the clip, which has since amassed well over 3 million views. “I put some on my granddaughter as well, she’s 7, and my daughter rings up going, ‘Has it come off?’ Well, it can’t be that difficult, surely?” She started with a cotton ball and then she tried to use her fingers. Neither method worked at all.

“For f–ks sake,” said Elizabeth as she began to chuckle in total disbelief at her predicament. “I’ve got meetings tomorrow.”

We cannot imagine how scared she was to have to go to work like this. Nail polish, baby oil, and rubbing alcohol were just a few of the suggestions that the comment section had to offer her.

“Anything alcohol-based, hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol.. or you could just drink it and forget all the tattoo,” said one viewer. We doubt that poor Elizabeth was in the mood to laugh at this one, though.

Fortunately, she seemed to have found the right solution by the time she uploaded her follow-up clip. As it turns out, she was able to remove the temporary tattoo with Garnier’s water cleanser.

“I literally look like I’ve been slapped in the face 10 times by Will Smith,” she chuckled.

Her skin is certainly red and irritated but at least the worst is over. This was quite the debacle but Elizabeth was able to make it through.
