Taco Tom’s food truck in Washington state is a popular spot for all those in the area who are in search of quality dining. These types of trucks tend to attract regular customers.
As anyone who has ever frequented a food truck knows, the customers will often develop a rapport with the proprietors. This is the story of a student who was unable to visit as often in recent months.
She never could have expected what happened next. She actually received a phone call from the one and only Tom himself. He was worried because he had not seen her in a very long time.
“Taco Thomas” is what she calls him and they have quite the longtime connection. As she shared in a now-private video, she’s been picking up food from him several times a week for over a decade now.
Knowing that, it is easy to see why Tom was so concerned. She had a medical ailment that was keeping her away but Tom had no way of knowing. The two have had each other’s phone numbers for a while now. In the private video, Ker said that she kept his number because she would call him when his taco truck location would move. Otherwise, she would not know where he was at.
Now, it seems that he is returning the favor and trying to figure out where his best customer is at. When Ker shared the voicemail from Tom on TikTok, people’s hearts went out to him. In fact, they even decided to open up their wallets and provide donations. Tom was too proud to accept them and capped things off at $350.
He didn’t want a handout, he just wanted to know where one of his best customers was hiding. The voicemail is one of the kindest and most touching things that we have seen in some time. This was not lost on Ker, who was effusive in her praise of Thomas. “He is a very kind and humble guy,” she says.
That’s not all that she had to say about the kindness of Thomas, either. “Thomas is a literal angel, I agree everybody needs a Thomas in their life he’s the sweetest guy, ever,” she continued.
