Ever since I was a child I would eat spoonfuls of peanut butter. It is, and still is, one of my favorite treats. I would consider myself somewhat of an expert on peanut butter, but today I learned something that changed EVERYTHING…

PureWow taught me that I’ve been storing my peanut butter wrong all along. The proper way is upside down.

No more hammering it with a spoon, churning it with a butter knife, or creating a vortex of oil-induced slime. It sounds a little crazy, but it makes total sense!

As most of us peanut butter eaters know, it develops a little pool of oil on top. But when you store the jar upside down, the oil will evenly distribute throughout the entire jar, instead of on top.

Want to take things to the next level? Put it in the refrigerator upside down. Not only will you not have to deal with a liquid mess, but the peanut butter will actually be creamier and easier to spread.
