If you happen to have a spare $4,000 laying around, then here is a fun vacation rental for you. A quick 15-minute boat rides off the coast of Belize is where you will find the stunning Kanu Island – a 2.5-acre land strip surrounded by the bluest of waters. And the best part is there is absolutely no one else around except for whoever you may choose to bring with you.

No other humans on an island accessible only by boat except for your friends…sounds like paradise…or, you know, the start to a cheesy horror film.

This beautiful island is a new vacation rental property that previously launched earlier in the summer. It has five 1,000-square-foot villas on it, all which are outfitted in classic island style – rattan furniture, open bamboo ceilings, and outdoor showers. Every villa comes with a spacious master bedroom and a living area. A few of them even include a loft for children. The island can hold up to 20 people on it, so if you have a crowd going for like a family reunion or a couple’s getaway or college friends catching up, it can work out to a nightly rate of $200 per person. Not that bad.

All the accommodation is located on one side of the island while a pathway leads to a common area under a thatched-roof and it includes a billiards table, dining area, and freshwater pool with a swim-up bar. Since it is an island, there isn’t much in terms of restaurants, but the rental does include a personal chef. However, we can only assume that the chef is also a bartender as well, or else that swim-up bar is completely useless.
