Anybody who considers themselves an artist has a particular type of art that they are interested in. Some will photograph sunsets and others may do watercolors of fruit bowls.

For a photographer named Ron Burkett, those artistic skills come out in a rather unique way. His art was seen by everyone in his Alabama neighborhood after he created a beautiful Christmas drawing in his driveway using a pressure washer.

The 85-foot-long Nativity scene was created for his wife. He decided to do it because it was getting close to Christmas and it was time to wash his driveway.

Burkett took some overhead pictures of the scene but he also decided to take some images with the large creatures he created. This included the camels, which required a little creativity on his part just for those unique pictures.

It is a beautiful creation but it isn’t the first time he has created something using a pressure washer. He even talks about the technique he uses on YouTube.

It seems as if he took up this artform after being stuck at home during the pandemic.

He creates the original scene using chalk and then the pressure washer creates the lines in the driveway. It is also something that he has developed, and the nativity scene comes 18 months after his original piece of art.

Burkett spoke with Southern Living, saying that it takes about six months for his driveway to get dirty again so that he can make another piece of artwork.
