Would You Try Pizza Hut’s New Cilantro Pizza?
Pizza Hut Japan is offering up a pie known as the “Pakuchi Sugite Kusa.” This translates to “Too Much Coriander Herb.”
When the restaurant posted about its newest addition to the menu on Twitter last week, the reactions were absolutely hilarious.

According to Japan Today, each pizza will come with three stalks of cilantro. Even the biggest fans of this topping were stunned!
Gen Z loves cilantro but we are not sure if they are looking to have this much in one shot. It’s a peculiar pie, to say the least, but if you are able to contact Pizza Hut Japan? It can be yours for all of $19. In addition to the cilantro, it is also topped with shrimp and a sweet and spicy sauce. The sauce, which is common in Korea, is known as yangnyeom.
As you might have expected, the company even posted a video on TikTok to promote this bizarre item. Pizza Hut Japan’s president, Shoichi Nakamura, was even featured in the clip. They are certainly putting a sizable amount of marketing might behind it. It is enough to make you wonder if you are missing out on something by not eating cilantro topped pizza pies.
If you want to get your hands on one of these bad boys, you are going to have to act quickly. Pizza Hut Japan is only making the cilantro pizzas available for a limited time only. They are going to be available in a medium size until April 9, so time is already running out.
For their part, the company is very confident that everyone is going to love these pizzas. We admire their courage and wonder if this will be a prelude to the pizzas being added to the menu full-time.
