If you have a child in your life, it is likely that you already know everything there is to know about Peppa Pig.
That adorable little creature seems to find its way into our child’s hearts, so parents do what they can to provide their children with something related to the pig at Christmas.
That is what some parents in the UK did for their child, but they got more than what they bargained for. According to The Metro, when looking at the gift, they turned it over and a box cutter fell out.
As you can imagine, the couple was quite upset and wanted to speak to someone from the online retailer. After all, Maggie, their two-year-old daughter, had already unboxed the campervan and ended up finding a “rusty retractable knife” in the package.
Martin Sexton, 36, and his fiancée, Kelly Francis, 31 have two children, Maggie who is two years old, and Archie, who is three years old. Both of the children are autistic and they are supervised very closely when they open boxes.
Sexton spoke with the Daily Mail, saying that he managed to grab the toy just before Maggie did. They were afraid because it probably would’ve ended up in Maggie’s mouth quickly.
He also went on to say that Kelly was furious because if she had put it in her mouth, it probably would have been a quick trip to the emergency room.
They purchased a toy from Studio, which is an online retailer. The toy, which was manufactured in China, ended up coming to their home with the extra knife included. They think that somebody probably put the knife down for a moment and ended up forgetting about it, so it landed in the package.
