Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

If you are anything like us, you love to kick back in a comfortable chair on a hot day and enjoy an ice-cold beer. That’s what makes it so terrible when we cannot readily find one. We’ve all experienced the annoyance of heading to the kitchen and discovering that none of your beers are actually cold. If you’re lucky, there are some lukewarm ones hiding in the pantry, but who wants those either?

So, what can we do when these situations arise? In most instances, we will have to place the beers in the fridge and simply wait for them to get cold. That may not be a palatable plan for most of us. There’s no need to rely on ice cubes, either. No one wants to have a watered-down drink. But, there’s a better way to quickly chill your beer or any other bottled beverage.

To get started, grab a paper towel or two and the beverage that you wish to cool off. You’ll also need a sizable bowl of water. Soak the paper towels in water. Once the paper towel is sufficiently dampened, you can wrap it around the beer or beverage.

Finally, allow the drinks to rest in the fridge for 15 minutes. As soon as the 15 minutes have passed, your beers should definitely be ready to drink. Isn’t that better than watering them down with unwanted ice cubes?
