Popsicles are one of those timeless treats that go hand-in-hand with summer. Perhaps Oscar Meyer had this in mind when they decided to create a popsicle of their own.

In order to create this popsicle, the hotdog giant teamed up with a frozen dessert company named Popbar. In the end, they created the Cold Dog, which tastes remarkably like an Oscar Meyer hotdog.

According to Business Wire, Oscar Meyer described the Cold Dog is a smoky and refreshing treat that includes the taste of a hot dog with a drizzle of mustard. Although they don’t come right out and tell you what the mustard is, they do tell you that you will appreciate this frozen treat on a stick.

If you are interested in trying this for yourself, you may have to do some traveling. It’s available for a limited time in Long Beach, California; Alpharetta, Georgia (near Atlanta); New Orleans; and New York City.

You also have to hurry if you want to get this $2 treat because supplies are limited. Then again, Oscar Meyer has said that they will launch it nationwide if it is popular.

The decision to come out with the Cold Dog is specific to the “Stupid or Genius” campaign. Oscar Meyer would like you to come up with a unique way to enjoy hot dogs that are not exactly grilling or frying.

Thousands of hotdog fans have taken to social media in order to express their appreciation for the campaign, calling it genius.

In order to truly celebrate the occasion, the Wienermobile has been given a makeover. That 27-foot-long hot dog is now a Popsicle truck on wheels, fully equipped with frosted windows and icicles, as shown on Twitter.

According to Business Wire, the head of North American brand communications at Oscar Meyer, Anne Field, said: “After the overwhelming fan excitement for our beloved Cold Dog, it was a no-brainer to make this hot dog-inspired frozen pop a reality.”

She went on to talk about how Oscar Meyer has been bringing smiles to people for over 130 years. They are now loving the fact that they can bring this new way of enjoying a wiener to their fans.
