Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

The rental market in New York City is like the wild, wild west. We are never surprised by the size of the apartments and how much people are willing to pay for them. That does not mean that we are never surprised by the structure of the apartments, though.

TikTok exposes just how ridiculous some of these situations are and we love every second of it. The lengths that some people are willing to go to in order to have an NYC apartment can be hard to fathom.

There are some tenants that are simply not getting very much for their money. That’s a decision that they have made all on their own, though. Just wait until you see the latest apartment that has left everyone’s minds totally boggled. Some people love it, but others hate it and it seems that no body can agree!

It’s one of the most oddly shaped apartments that we have ever seen in our entire lives. That is not an exaggeration or a form of hyperbole. It is the honest truth.

The apartment in this video comes with long, skinny hallways, and even the rooms are shaped about as weirdly as they could possibly be. This digital tour is an absolute must-see, that is for sure.

Each floor in this building comes with two units, so let the weirdness start there. We are used to seeing buildings that have a wide range of units on each floor. Each of the units takes up the entirety of the structure, starting from the front and heading all the way to the back. This sounds pretty darn roomy, right?

However, the units themselves are not nearly as spacious as they might appear. There are all sorts of odd cutouts in the walls that make the prospect of living here very unappealing.

We cannot even begin to imagine how anyone is able to even get their furniture inside. The comments wasted no time calling that out.

“How in the world do they get furniture in there? Hoist it up & put it thru the windows??” one person was sure to wonder. “There’s no way any furniture is getting into that apartment,” another viewer added.
