One of the unusual jobs that some people have is as a notary public. Some people have that title just to witness others signing a document or two but others actually use it as a way to make a living.

One thing that you may be curious about is how much money is made by a Notary Public that is serious about what they do.

Andrea Morgan (@dreyamor) is in a position to answer that question and since posting the viral video, it has been viewed millions of times.

Essentially, Adria is a notary signing agent. In her words, she gets paid to watch people sign documents. This video is part of a trend on social media to help people understand what others make in their careers.

As far as Andrea is concerned, her video started as a result of a video trend in which people were asked to reveal something about their professions that other people would not know.

Andrea makes no secret of the fact that she works as a notary in the loan and real estate industry. She gets paid up to $250 per hour to watch people sign papers.

If you were to fact-check what she said with ProperSign, you would see that it was right in line with what they said signing agents could make. Of course, you make more money watching people sign real estate and loan documents than standard documents.

There are also things to consider when it comes to making money as a notary. You may make a lot of money per hour but there may not be enough signings to witness to make a decent living. In other words, you make good money when you’re working but it is often only a part-time gig.

If you are a full-time notary, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to make a considerable amount of money. According to the National Notary Association, 16% of those who are full-time notary signing agents make up to $90,000 per year.

There were also some who had questions, including how they can get involved in the business. She posted a follow-up video to explain:
