Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Life can be difficult when you have children. That is especially true if you have two youngsters running around the house and you also live a busy life.

Often, those who find themselves in such a situation look to the Internet and in particular, social media, for advice on how to have a little peace in their lives. Fortunately, they got what they were asking for in a viral TikTok video that gives some solid advice.

This was really a game changer, especially for those who were preparing for New Year’s Eve. Some parents realized that the children were aware of the big day so they wanted to stay up until midnight and watch the ball drop.

That is where Jamie Rose, a mother of two, stepped up to the plate and gave us some great advice.

She said in her video:

“If you have littles, let this be your sign to let them dress up fancy on NYE and put last year’s countdown on the TV via YouTube at 8 p.m.”

There are many benefits that we can see from this unique parenting hack.

Not only does it provide the opportunity for the mom to enjoy a little peace and quiet after hours, but the children also get to enjoy a tradition and feel as if they were naughty enough to stay up late.

If you have littles, let this be your sign to let them dress up fancy on NYE and our last year’s countdown on the TV via YouTube at 8pm. Let them enjoy counting in the “new year” and then ship them up to bed so you can count it in for real in peace 😉 #nye #newyearseve #newyear #mumtok #mumtokuk #nyeactivities #newyearsevevlog #newyears

Quite honestly, the children are not going to recognize the difference between timetables and it is something that we may want to keep in mind, especially as those late-night events are creeping up on us again.
