If you’re like me, the limit to how much parmesan cheese goes on top of spaghetti (or any pasta, really) does not exist.
That being said, I don’t know if I’d necessarily run out to the store to purchase 44 pounds of parmesan cheese just to be able to create a nice little cheesy mountain on all my pasta dishes.
However, one husband decided that 44 pounds of parmesan was a wise investment while shopping at his local Kroger. When he got home, his wife got quite a shock when she saw the block of cheese he’d bought. At first, she had so many questions as to why he’d bought the big hunk of cheese, but then the husband quickly cleared it up for her.
What he said was he was at their local Kroger, when he saw the price tag: $10.44. Thinking it was a great deal, he tried to FaceTime his wife, who he pointed out, did not answer.
As she shared on TikTok, when she failed to pick up the call, he said, “I made an executive decision.” And that is how the giant block ended up coming home with him.
When she asked him how much it weighed, at first he guesstimated 20 pounds…maybe more. With that, he put it on the scale and both of them were shocked that it ended up weighing 44 pounds! That’s a lot of cheese. In the background though, their kid seemed pretty happy by the prospect of a lot of parmesan.
Despite her questioning his motives in the video, she did write on the video’s caption, “That’s my man…and ima stick beside him” followed by a twisted face emoji.
Let’s hope they find fun recipes in which they can use up all that cheese before it goes off!
