Woman Finally Gets Lost Luggage Returned To Her 4 Years Later
When we step onto an airplane, we put our trust in everyone who works for the airline. This is not only true of the pilot but also of everybody working behind the scenes, including those who take care of our luggage.
We hope for the best when we hand our luggage over, but the reality for some travelers is that the luggage gets delayed or lost. Statistics show that it is not likely for luggage to get lost permanently, but it can be inconvenient if it doesn’t show up at the same destination you do.

And then, we have April Gavin. She was flying to Chicago a few years ago, and United Airlines lost her luggage. It took four years, but the luggage eventually turned up in Honduras.
Gavin went on TikTok to talk about the issue and her experience and the video has since gone viral.
She spoke about how she took a trip on August 4, 2018. It was a business trip where she flew from Oregon to Chicago, but the airline somehow lost her luggage.

After trying for “months and months” to get her bag back from the airline, they eventually admitted they didn’t know where it was. Recently, she got a phone call from the airline, and they had an exciting update for her.
The phone call came from Houston, Texas, and United airlines said they had found her luggage. Gavin thought they were mistaken because the luggage had already been missing for four years.
The customer service representative let her know that it was in Honduras, and they had no idea where else it went. Eventually, it ended up in Houston, Texas, and they connected with her.

Nobody knows or is admitting why the suitcase went on such a wild trip around the world. The suitcase was new when she got it, but it was a little beat up at this point.
After she was in possession of the bag, she let it sit outside for a week because she was afraid of bugs. That’s a legitimate concern, especially considering everywhere the bag had been.
When she was finally brave enough to open the bag, she found everything inside. It included her clothing, glasses, a hairdryer, a laptop charger, and even some items she purchased while on the trip.
@aprildgavin Thanks for excitment United Airlines! #LostLuggageReturned
Gavin said in the video: “It’s like Christmas opening up all my stuff. I cannot believe that this suitcase has been traveling around for four years, went to Honduras, finally made it back to me, and it looks like almost everything is still in it. So, thanks, United.”
