Lightning striking one’s home is cause for terror. It’s the sort of thing that we would not wish on our worst enemies.

Unfortunately, TikTok user Stacy Holley went through this exact moment recently and our heart goes out to her. We cannot even begin to imagine just how nerve-wracking such a thing would be. Holley managed to pull her camera out at the perfect moment, too.

We would be too scared to move at a moment like this but Stacy handled it like a pro. There was a torrential downpour going on at the time and this rain did not come alone. When the lightning finally struck her home, it appeared to connect with a tin roof that is attached to the property. Her caption says it all, too.

“Lighting struck my porch just as I started recording the rain,” she wrote. The video begins with her standing inside while she has the door open to watch the rain come down.

Suddenly, a massive bang goes off. The lightning strikes the roof and makes a very loud noise. Embers ended up bursting everywhere as a result of the lightning strike, which is obviously going to freak anyone out.

“Oh my god,” Stacy screamed as she ran back into her home. We would have hightailed it right back inside as well if we found ourselves in that type of predicament. That’s the last thing that anyone needs.

We are just glad to find out that Stacy is okay. This could have definitely gone a whole lot worse if she had not run back inside when she did. Kudos to her for being able to get her video and make it back inside safely before the lightning had a chance to come for her.
