If you are a parent, you are worried about any number of potential developmental issues. For us, screen time is a major sticking point.

How much is too much and how do we keep things moving in the right direction? Teachers have to make this consideration as well. Wait until you see how this teacher managed to turn her students’ screen time into something more educational than they’re accustomed to!

“Parenting hack from a teacher: Have all your kids’ screen time be in another language,” she said in her recent TikTok. “My kids only watch TV/tablets in Spanish. Now they both speak Spanish and my younger daughter is almost fluent,” the teacher continued.

On the other hand, she was quick to stress the importance of parents taking the time to learn the language, too. Otherwise, your kids could be saying things they don’t want you to hear!

That was not all that she had to say, either. She added further clarification in the comments section for any parents who were confused about what she meant here.

“Let me clarify: my kids have always been exposed to Spanish with music, etc. They understand what they are watching and love it!” she says. Mothers were quick to praise her for the hack.

Another mother chimed in with a very important tip, too. She puts the subtitles on when her children are watching their screens so that they are able to learn how to read more quickly.

It’s a hack that is sure to serve as a game-changer for any family that is looking to get the most out of their child’s screen time. Just be sure to learn the language yourself….the last thing that you want is to see your children getting over on you.
