If you’re anything like the typical woman, you probably pack about a million pieces of jewelry when you go on vacation.

Because you have to have a bunch of options for every evening, right? What if you change your outfit and have nothing to match?!

But then, by the time you arrive at your destination, the jewelry is already in a tangled mess at the bottom of your luggage. You can untangle it, but it takes forever and you risk damaging those special, more fragile pieces. Sometimes, rather than try to undo the knots, you just give up on wearing that favorite necklace altogether.

Well, this doesn’t have to be your life anymore. Hallelujah! This week, the hosts of The Doctors shared a tip for keeping your jewelry untangled when you travel.

It’s easier than you think. You only need one item: some sealable, or “press and seal,” plastic wrap.

First, lay a piece of the plastic wrap on a flat surface. Then lay your necklaces flat on top. Layer another piece of plastic wrap on top, followed by more jewelry, and continue until you’ve packed every piece of jewelry that you own. Fold the plastic over so it’ll fit neatly in your luggage, and voila!

This tip works for necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and any other items that normally turn into a spider web in your luggage.
