J. Cole was recently seen attending a university graduation ceremony. As a rapper and producer, Cole is well-known for the music he makes but it seems as if he is also a standup guy because he was there to keep a promise.
Almost a decade ago, J. Cole made a promise to Cierra Bosarge, one of his fans. That was back in 2013, and according to Complex, she said it was the first time she spoke to him when she called a radio station.
At the time, her wish was to have him say happy birthday to her but the high school student eventually received a call from him, and he wanted to meet her in person.
Bosarge had written Cole a letter a number of years prior to that meeting so when they met in person, she handed it over. The letter expressed all of the things that she had gone through.
According to Complex, she explained: “With being adopted, my parents being hooked on drugs, in and out of prison. At the time both parents were in prison so I asked him could he come to my graduation since they can’t.”
That is when Jay Cole made her a promise. If she was able to get into a four-year university, he would attend her high school graduation. Two years later, he showed up at her graduation and stuck to his promise.

Four years later, he was then attending her graduation ceremony as she got her diploma from Rowan University.
She posted pictures of him at the University, fulfilling his promise, and said: “I definitely feel the love and that’s what I needed.”
