We all have a passion to follow in life. For me, that’s writing. Of course, it varies from person to person, but the lucky ones get to turn their passions into a business.

For one businessman, Hassan Dervish, his whole identity was tied to ice cream. The businessman had come from Cyprus and settled in the UK where he started his business and ended up making quite a name for himself with the ice cream industry.

Unfortunately, Hassan Dervish passed away. And like with most passings, it is left to the remaining family to find a way to honor the departed. But how exactly do you do that for a beloved family member? Especially one that was well-regarded in his field for 40 years?

For Hassan’s grieving brother, Savas Turkel, he came up with a beautiful tribute to his late brother – but he needed some help in order to do it.

His brother managed to arrange for a long procession of fellow ice cream trucks as a way of paying tribute to the late ice cream vendor.

According to a report by Sky News, Hassan, who was 62 at the time of his passing, had passed away unexpectedly. It definitely was a shock. But it was also all the more reason for Savas to try and find a perfect memorial for his brother.

One of the people who watched the procession of ice cream trucks, Louisa Davies, called it a very touching moment.

According to Sky News, the official tribute for Hassan read, “Rest in eternal peace my BROTHER. KING OF THE ICE CREAM. He was very popular among customers and other ice cream men, if it wasn’t for the pandemic I think lots more ice cream men would have been part of the procession. He was a well-loved family man, a good father, and he was loved by everybody he met.”
