Swollen fingers can be such a pain in the butt, right? When your fingers swells and you can’t get the ring off, it can seem like the most annoying thing that you’ve ever dealt with. For starters, you can grab a lubricant like WD-40 or Windex. If you are not successful in this endeavor, there are other options available to you and we are happy to provide them.

An elastic band is just what the doctor ordered! To get started, you grab the elastic band and wrap it around your finger nice and tight. As you are wrapping the elastic band around the finger, make sure to move it toward the ring as you are going. At this point, you should be getting to the ring. Once you have arrived, it is time to start feeding the band through.

If you were to visit a hospital for assistance, this is the same trick that they would use in most instances. This will save you a cumbersome trip to the emergency room. At the moment, this is the last place that we want to be. Many emergency rooms are not wild about assisting those who have minor injuries right now.

This technique was provided by Lifehacker and they are providing the world with a very important service. We all need to do our part to keep hospitals free of unnecessary traffic. That’s not to say that anyone needs to be patching up their broken bones with duct tape or anything so severe. Let’s just all use our common sense here whenever we can.

In the meantime, be sure to share the hack with anyone who may be struggling with this all too common issue. There’s no need to panic or head to the hospital in a huff. Just take a closer look at this video and allow the good folks at Lifehacker to help you. They are always more than happy to do so! Happy ring removal, everyone.
