How To Wash Your Dirty Baseball Hat In The Dishwasher

The washing machine might ruin it, but thankfully there’s a better way.

If your children are anything like ours, they live in their baseball caps. While there is nothing wrong with this, these hats have a tendency to collect all kinds of dirt and debris. Whether your little ones are watching the game or playing in it, baseball caps are going to get dirty, and once they are? It can feel like an impossible task trying to restore them to their former glory.

Most parents end up stumped when it comes to this stuff. At this point, they either purchase new baseball caps for their children or resign themselves to the fact that their clothes are going to be dirty. What if we told you that there was a better way, though? Hats are a tricky piece of clothing to clean, so we understand why some parents will struggle with that.

Thanks to the #OWNSHOW YouTube channel, these issues are no longer a problem that you will have to deal with. If you have fallen into the trap of believing that baseball caps do not actually have to be cleaned, this is the perfect clip for you. Sure, you can toss the hat in with the rest of the laundry but you might be taking some unwanted risks if the hat is delicate.

With this hack, the hat will be nice and clean, while remaining in the proper condition. All you need to get started is a dishwasher and Borax.

Simply place the hat on the top shelf of the dishwasher and fill your detergent cup with Borax. From there, it’s time to run a regular dish cycle. Once the hats have been cleaned, drape them over your tall objects. Shape them in the correct manner and give them a chance to dry naturally.

As soon as these steps have been completed, you will have baseball caps that look like brand new. You’ll no longer need to shop for new ones every time your kids get theirs dirty.
