Photographer Jens Heidler of Another Perspective is known for his awesome videos but in most instances, he likes to remain behind the camera.

However, he has decided to step into the spotlight for this one and it is an awesome clip. If you have never seen honey under a microscope, this is the perfect chance to do so. The explanation that he provides is well worth taking the time to check out.

He likes to place honey under a microscope and fortunately for us, he is more than happy to take the time to document his findings in 4K.

The beautiful kaleidoscopic effect that takes place here is truly spellbinding. If you are anything like us, this video is definitely going to stop you dead in your tracks. We had to watch it more than once before we felt like we truly appreciated it. Heidler is well aware of how cool this looks, too.

“I’ve connected my camera to the microscope and used polarized light to show you the incredible psychedelic color structure of sugar crystals inside honey,” he says in the video. From there, hot water was added to the honey, so that he would have the chance to see what it would look like as it slowly dissolved. The amount of work that he put in is astounding.

“I took like 500 videos of those sugar crystals under the microscope and I was totally fascinated but got even better when I started adding hot water to the honey showing the dissolving of the sugar crystals,” Jens shares. Once you have had the chance to check this one out, you will understand exactly why.
