Can’t beat the taste of homemade!

Greek dressing 7-min copy

There’s something totally irresistibly about the classic Greek Salad. Fresh and zesty Mediterranean flavors, crisp greens, crunchy cucumbers, and plentiful tomatoes, it’s easy to see why it’s a favorite around the world. And the ingredient that undoubtedly ties it all together is the dressing. While store-bought will do in a pinch, we strongly believe homemade is the way to go whenever possible. Luckily, it’s a dressing made with ingredients we typically have on hand already and super easy to whip up!

The base of this dressing will be a simple combination of extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, and fresh lemon juice. The combo creates a bright and tangy flavor that’s then kicked up a notch by a bit of dijon mustard, garlic, and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper. Finally, salt and pepper are added to suit your taste. If you’re loading your salad up with feta we recommend going easy on the salt since feta cheese is pretty salty on its own!

Read the label of almost any store-bought dressing and it will contain canola oil and a slew of ingredients you can’t pronounce. Making a dressing from scratch is so simple and a choice you can feel good about. Give this bright Greek Dressing a try for your next salad and we’re sure you’ll love it!
