homemade Chick-Fil-A sauce

Sometimes what’s in a certain sauce is kept a mystery for decades, leaving people to experiment with what is closest in taste without ever getting the written recipe. But, Chik-Fil-A has given up their special sauce recipe and it truly could not be easier to make. I was skeptical that this would indeed taste like the original, but I was shocked at how close it is.

This is the prefect sauce to dunk your fries in and of course it adds a certain level of sweetness and flavor to chicken. Dunking chicken tenders in this sauce is so much like eating out at the famous chain fast food restaurant, but without even leaving my house! And, the best part is that I already had everything I needed for this recipe in my fridge. Chances are you do, too.

This sauce only has 3 ingredients, mixed in equal measure. Drumroll please: they are ranch dressing, sweet BBQ sauce, and honey mustard. That’s it. This recipe makes enough for about 2 to 4 servings, but it all depends on how heavy of a dipper you are.

I will say that for me I ended up adding just a little bit more BBQ sauce to offset the mustard taste, but you can customize this sauce to however you like. You could use a spicy BBQ sauce instead or add some Sriracha sauce to the mix for something a bit spicier. The choice is up to you. But, now that you’ve got this recipe you’ll never have to settle for boring chicken dipping sauces at home.

I like this sauce so much that I made up extra to keep in the fridge for the next time I make chicken. Try this effortless homemade Chick-Fil-A sauce and see if it doesn’t become a staple at your house, too.
