Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

This woman recently took to TikTok and she made one of the most audacious claims that we have ever read.

She underwent plastic surgery and claims that her head “exploded” during her flight back. Weronika is her name and the British fitness influencer has a very sad story to tell. Let’s be clear before we continue, though. Her head did not actually explode.

Instead, her stitches ripped out and left her in a very difficult position. She was quick to admonish audience members who thought that her head literally exploded. “I wouldn’t be making tiktoks would I?!” she said on TikTok. “I’d be in hospital if I was even alive. Use common sense.” There were a number of story time videos, as she walked everyone through the issues she experienced.

A week before she hopped on this flight, she had undergone a procedure that is known as a canthoplasty. This is a procedure that people receive so that they can look like they have cat eyes.

She traveled to Turkey for the surgery. In order to achieve the desired effect, the surgeon tightens and lengthens the eye shape horizontally. This is not something that we would go along with but we digress.

The recovery process actually tends to be minimal here. Visible bruising and swelling may last for a few weeks, though. Since these surgical procedures tend to be rather costly, it is easy to see why Weronika decided to travel to Turkey instead of having it done in her native England.

Everything was fine at first. Unfortunately, she awoke from a nap and was in a tremendous amount of pain.

“Everything was really hurting,” she told the viewers watching at home. “I got up, went to the toilet and like I heard this audible pop, and my heart was just like, what the hell is happening, and I was just like, ‘Oh s***.’” Hot liquid started to drip down her neck and she made a tough choice, stuffing tissues beneath thw wrapping.

“It was so gross,” she says. “I was in so much pain for the rest of the flight. It felt so hot, and all that liquid was draining into this tissue.” Fortunately, she is all good now after an infection behind her ears cleared up.

Medical professionals do not recommend getting on a plane without a fit to fly certificate. Weronika paid for one at the airport but as you can see, this is not a foolproof plan.
