The process of washing hair may seem straightforward but it turns out that we may have been doing it all wrong this whole time!

In fact, if your hair has stopped growing, the washing method may be to blame. We were today years old when we learned this and as always, we have TikTok to thank for that. This health influencer is here to show us the way.

Taylor Rose has amassed half a million followers because of these awesome tips and pointers. She has long, healthy tresses of her own and she wants to spread the wealth.

“You’re using hot tools more than once a week and shampooing too often,” she wrote. That makes perfect sense but we did not realize what we were doing wrong before.

Of course, her fans were enamored with these helpful pointers, as they wanted to know how she managed to have her hair look so healthy.

The comments were also full of additional tidbits that were sure to help. The one that struck us as a major eureka moment was when a commentator suggested that we need to filter our water so that all of the calcium can be removed from the equation.

Apparently, it is worse for our hair than we ever could have realized. That’s the joy of TikTok in a nutshell, though. We are always finding out about various things that we never have would have considered otherwise. Those who wish to learn more about hair health would do well to follow Taylor’s account. She’s an endless fountain of knowledge.

With her help, followers could expect their hair to grow up to six inches per year. Those are the kind of results that cannot be ignored.

For example, she’s got one tip that we are sure to start using ourselves because it is far too simple not to implement. “Start adding rosemary oil to your shampoo and sleep in a silk pillow cap,” she suggests.

Rosemary oil is a common remedy for hair-related issues and we wish that we had known this earlier. Taylor’s account is a godsend, that is for sure.
