Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

A couple of months ago my brother, Chris Pratt aka Starlord, commissioned my girlfriend Lindsey and me to create approximately 30 wrap gifts for the cast and crew of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.

These pocket dump trays were made with over 100-year-old Cedar, oak bottoms, and oak splines.

They all had “black Galaxy” acrylic inlays. These were also created with the use of the Glow Forge and the X- Carve Pro.

Lindsey had a blast, “This was such a fun project! It took a while to decide on what the actual design in the trays was going to be but eventually, Chris decided on using a Guardians shield which I think turned out awesome!”

She had a lot of intricate detail work to do. “I took an image of the shield and traced it in Illustrator,” says Lindsey. “I wish I had thought at that point to make the two A’s in guardians the same. They were ever so slightly different which created much avoidable frustration when it was time to assemble. Oh well…kinda like birthing a baby, all that pain doesn’t matter in the end when you look at your masterpiece.”

We were really excited to deliver these to Chris and the rest of the GOTG crew. It was a special project for us to complete.
