Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

As we age, we find ourselves not caring about the same things that we used to. The stuff that once bothered us rolls right off our backs and we cannot be bothered to go back to the way that things used to be. This feeling only gets stronger with age and the grandparents that you are about to meet are no exception to that rule.

Just wait until you see the stunt that they decided to pull!

We are not going to lie to you. What they did is not technically “right” and we would not advise it to most people. On the other hand, these grandparents are not like everyone else. They are just trying to get the most out of life. We are not even mad at them for this.

Of course, the mall that was victimized by their little theft might feel differently about it. This may not be the politically correct take to have but we think that what they did here is perfectly okay.

It is not every day that you get to watch the elderly steal and enjoy a good laugh at the same time. They are true partners in crime.

If we had to guess, we are willing to bet that Grandma was the mastermind here. Humor us if you will, as we come up with a hilarious backstory for these two. They probably visited this mall to do some walking on a regular basis and the plant caught their eye. Grandma gave Grandpa the nudge and told him that it would look great in their home.

Grandpa was probably reticent at first because why wouldn’t he be? Regardless of age, this is the type of brazen theft that could get just about anybody into trouble.

Can you imagine being the security guard who would be tasked with handling this? “Yes, we have a sighting of an elderly couple helping themselves to a potted plant.”

If we were in that situation, we would never be able to stop laughing. In fact, we would be screaming our heads off. It’s the sort of thing where you want to give them props just for having the courage to pull it off.
