Woman Shares How She Made $260 Flipping A Free Sofa
Facebook Marketplace is a great place to find a good deal. Whether you are looking for new furniture, clothes, or toys, the possibilities are endless on there.
That’s what makes this story such a funny one. One enterprising woman from the UK was able to use this marketplace to her advantage recently, although it did happen to take a bit of elbow grease.
The woman came across a sofa that was being given away for free but there was just one problem. The furniture was dirty and full of stains.
Obviously, this would not do and she would have to figure out a solution to this issue. Luckily for her (and her pockets), she was more than willing to roll up her sleeves and get started right away.
Mischa Pann took to her TikTok page and showed off the nasty-looking couch. It was definitely in need of some tender, loving care before anyone could actually use it in good conscience.
“Hi everyone, so I’m just going to show you how I flipped this sofa that I got for free on Facebook marketplace and made £200,” she said in the clip. “So I took the cushion covers off and I stripped them in the bathtub. It was really gross.” From there, she went and bought a Bissell spot cleaning machine from Argos, figuring that she would have the chance to use it in the future.
“So I gave the sofa a clean. I got all the stains out. Look at itttt,” Mischa continued. “Then I had to get the cushion back in, that was hard.”
Once the savvy woman shared the couch for a second time, the difference was evident. This grimy piece of furniture was transformed into something that any one of us would be more than happy to display in our home.
“This is what it looks like,” she explains. “Put it up on eBay and it sold within a day for £200.” Of course, people wanted to know what products she had used to get the sofa looking this clean and it was a simple answer. “Just detergent and some Biotex stain remover,” Mischa shared in the comments.
We are beyond impressed with the effort that she put in!
