When this Domino’s employee was given the chance to brighten a customer’s day, they did not hesitate for even one second. This story was shared by Domino’s Australia Facebook account and it is an absolute gem.
According to the Facebook post, it’s the sort of story that is sure to light up your day. A Coolum location received a phone call from a mother who was looking to cancel an order.
She had put in a sizable order because it was her child’s birthday. Unfortunately, there were not as many arrivals as she expected. The store supervisor heard the news and decided that they wanted to do something nice for the child.
The mother was on the way to collect the single pizza that she was going to take home but she had no idea what was going to happen next.
The supervisor provided the family with a special gift. “When she arrived at the store to collect the one pizza, shift supervisor Miles surprised her with a custom chocolate dessert pizza topped with churros & brownies!” Domino’s Australia shared in their Facebook post. Now, everyone wants this supervisor to know how enamored they are with his actions. His name is Miles and they are singing his praises!
“Can Dominos get in touch with this customer so we can throw her daughter the best birthday ever please, no kid (or their parents) should ever feel that kind of heartbreak!” one user said. We are right there with them. “I’ve already called the store (also local to me) and spoken with tonight’s shift manager re something like this, and collection of gifts….stay posted, I’ll let you know!” said another commentator.
It is great to see so many people rallying together to make sure that this child has an awesome birthday. Domino’s was also sure to express their gratitude towards Miles. “Thank you Miles for going the extra ‘mile’ to help turn this customer’s day around,” the company shared.
Hopefully, this child’s birthday was still an awesome one regardless.
