Ordering pizza just got a whole lot easier thanks to Domino’s Pizza. The chain has already got a reputation of making the whole pizza order and delivery process easier with their the mobile app – which has made the whole thing a very fast process.
But now, if you’re a person that likes to pick up their pizza in person, the pizza chain is allowing their customers to request their meals through Apple CarPlay.

According to a press release, the system is for pick-up orders only, but it’s quite convenient. The new feature will update electronic car dashboards with the new version of the Domino’s Pizza app, and it allows a “Tap to Order” method in which your nearest restaurant gets alerted to begin preparing your food at your command.
There is also a “Call to Order” addition which allows for customization options and home delivery services.

It’s almost like the days of frustrating pizza pick-ups are behind us. As Domino’s SVP chief digital officer, Christopher Thomas-Moore, expressed in a statement:
“We know how frustrating it can be to wait in a [fast food] drive-thru line just to place an order. Domino’s app on CarPlay is a great alternative to that, as customers still have the convenience of staying in their car, and can place an order from wherever they are, without waiting in a long drive-thru.”

What do you think of the Apple CarPlay idea? How will it affect how you get your pizza? Do you prefer to pick up or get delivery? Let us know!
