Dolly Parton is known for her humble beginnings and is known for her music and philanthropy. In a recent announcement, Parton revealed her amusement park, Dollywood Parks & Resorts, will be covering 100% of tuition, fees, and books for employees who pursue education.

The program is set to kick in on February 24th, 2022, and will cover tuition and associated school expenses for eligible seasonal, part-time, and full-time employees.

According to a press release, the program will be offered through Herschend’s GROW U., a new program piloted by Herschend Enterprises, Dolly Parton’s operating partner in Dollywood.

According to the press release, the program “aims to make it exponentially easier for employees at all levels to pursue their personal and professional dreams through education.”

Herschend Enterprises’ CEO, Andrew Wexler, said in the release, “Our team members’ success is our success – and that’s why we’re thrilled to make this benefit available to all, regardless of their role in the company and without the burden of debt.”

The program will fully fund over 100 diploma, degree, and certificate programs, and also offers partial tuition funding of up to $5,250/year for additional programs in different sectors.

Herschend Enterprises is also offering tuition assistance to the employees of its other parks, including Adventure Aquarium, Callaway Resort & Gardens, Newport Aquarium, Silver Dollar City Attractions, and Wild Adventures.
