The Miami Beach Fire crew successfully rescued a dog who’d fallen off a ledge into the bay last week.
According to a tweet shared by the Miami Beach Fire account, the brindle bullie was playing at a nearby dog park in Miami Beach with its owner.

As they were playing, the poor dog accidentally got too close to the ledge that dropped off into the bay and they ended up tumbling over the side.
Thankfully, the fire rescue crew wasn’t far away. The department sent Fire Rescue Truck 22 and Engine 2 to the scene and two firefighters, Santis and Escudero, were quick to use a ladder to access the bay.

Both men climbed into the water and one gently picked up the dog while the other supported him from behind. They all climbed the ladder together and the firefighter gently set the dog back on the safety of the solid ground!
We can imagine the pup’s owner is incredibly grateful to have her dog back safe and sound.

No one anticipates a trip to the dog park turning into a tragedy, and we’re glad that this rescue had a positive ending.
