Sunshine Mills issued a recall notice that was shared with the public by the Food & Drug Administration last Thursday involving several dog food brands.

The pet food distributor issued a voluntary recall from many of the brands that they have to offer, including Nurture Farms, Heart to Tail, and Wild Harvest, due to possible mold contamination.

The byproducts that our dogs may be consuming place them in serious trouble, as they could contain “potentially elevated levels of aflatoxin.” This is an issue that is caused when pets are exposed to mold during their mealtimes.

Obviously, this is something that any sane pet owner would like to avoid. That’s why it is important to spread the word far and wide about this recall.
