You wouldn’t expect a video like this one to be so fascinating but here we are. @awkward_andy is the one who shared it and we are grateful to them for doing so. This video was taken during their visit to Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Peter Pan’s Flight came to a sudden halt, which was rather unexpected for all of the park visitors.
Once the operators turned on all of the lights to see what was the matter, the entire vibe shifted. It was like night and day.
The room remains pitch black as the riders fly through in their mini pirate ships but once they needed to fix it? The room floods with light and all of the mechanics that are used to operate the ride are exposed to the world.
In one corner, there is even a message that has been scrawled that seems to go against the entire Disney ethos. “Bill sucks,” it reads. The comment section was also chock full of people who shared similar experiences that they went through while they were at Disney parks.
“Got stuck on that one over a decade ago,” one viewer recalled. “30 minutes of ‘HELP ME MR SMEE HELP ME,'” they added.
“Got stuck on space mountain and the lights came on,” another viewer shared. “Not sure what I expected but not just a regular rollercoaster.” We are glad to see that so many other people are unburdening themselves. “We broke down on the Winnie the Pooh ride,” wrote someone else. “Had to exit out of the car in the ride. Magic was gone. Wamp wamp.”
