In case you’re in the area and in need of a bite, The Taste of Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is currently underway at Disney World. Of course, this event does not look the same as it has in years past. All of the proper precautions have been taken to shield anyone who is participating. If you’d rather stay at home and take in the event from afar, Disney has still got you covered.

The same recipe that you can purchase from the World ShowPlace Pavilion is now available to the general public. The ingredients list shouldn’t be too surprising to anyone who has ever made their own mac and cheese at home. You’ll need some cheddar cheese (of the white and yellow varieties), butter, your choice of pasta (we opt for elbow and cavatappi), onion powder, mustard powder, garlic powder, pepper, flour, whole milk, coarse salt, panko crumbs, and Boursin’s garlic & herb cheese.

When you’re ready to get started, you’ll need to toast the panko crumbs. You may need to add some salt as well. As far as the macaroni is concerned, the pasta must cook first. Once its done, set it off to the side while it’s still warm. The thick, creamy cheese sauce is added now.

To make the best possible version of this sauce, start by melting some butter in the pan and whisking it in the flour. Once the mixture has had the chance to thicken, take the milk and all three of the aforementioned powders and add them to the mix. Allow it to simmer and achieve that perfectly creamy consistency that we all know and love.

As soon as you’ve found the right consistency for your sauce, put all of the cheese in it. You don’t want to add the Boursin quite yet. Be sure to sprinkle it later on, though. At long last, you’ll add the cooked pasta. Grab the salt and pepper when you’re ready to season. Each serving is to be topped with toasted bread crumbs and Boursin.

If you’d like to take a closer look at the recipe, it’s available over at the Disney Parks blog as we speak. The measurements that have been provided are able to serve up to eight people but we understand if you’re not up to having a lot of people over at the moment. If you finish the whole batch by yourself, your secret is safe with us!
