With all the parties, get together, and family dinners, we are always on the hunt for new holiday recipes. This Cran Slam Dip is a fun change from the usual creamy dips, but still checks all the festive boxes. It does require a little planning ahead, but the actual time preparing the dip is hardly 15 minutes. The combo of cranberries and jalapenos really packs a punch. Give this sweet and spicy dip a spot on your holiday line up and you won’t regret it!

The cranberry mixture comes together quickly in the food processor. The cranberries, jalapeño, green onion, cilantro, lime juice, sugar, and salt are pulsed until coarsely chopped, then chilled for several hours. That extra time in the fridge gives the flavors a chance to come together and makes the dip easy to prepare ahead.

When you’re ready to make the dip, the cranberry mixture is drained and folded into softened cream cheese and sour cream. The result is creamy, tangy, and slightly sweet with just the right amount of heat. You can leave the jalapeño seeds in for more spice or remove them for a milder dip.

Cran Slam Dip is a great one to bring out for holiday parties, potlucks, or family gatherings. Serve it with crackers, chips, or slices of bread and let everyone scoop up a little of that sweet, tart, creamy combination. It’s easy to make ahead, which is always helpful when you’re getting a holiday meal together!
