Breakfast cereal topped with fresh fruit is one of those simple pleasures that never gets old for me. Whether it’s blueberries on my honey nut cheerios, strawberries on my granola, or, in this case, sliced peaches on my cornflakes– that pop of fresh fruit cannot be beat. Those sweet nostalgic combos got me thinking that cereal would make a delicious topping for a crisp! And that is how this mouthwatering Cornflake Peach Crisp came about.

The cereal is mixed with butter, brown sugar, and flour to create a sweet and crumbly mixture. It’s best to use chilled butter for this step to achieve the right texture. Sprinkle it over the peach slices and pop the crisp in the oven for half an hour or until it’s bubbling and starting to brown on top. Your kitchen will be smelling absolutely heavenly at this point!

There’s no denying that treats like this are best served fresh out of the oven. Top off each serving with a scoop of your favorite vanilla ice cream or some fresh whipped cream. This nostalgic dessert is sure to be a hit at any summer gathering. Give the recipe a try and let us know what you think!
