Now, he is showcasing his immense talent to the rest of the world and we are 100 percent here for it. His cover version of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” is one of the best that we have seen. He is not the only one that have tried his hand at this song but he’s got the top version until further notice. If you do not believe us, you are going to want to go ahead and watch for yourself.
His take on the song is very unique as well. He was not content to sing it in the same exact manner that Robyn did and that’s what makes it stand out.
As you would expect, the judges on a show like this one are not always going to be easy to impress. Once we saw their reactions, we knew that we had just witnessed something that was very, very special.
Luke Bryan’s reaction says it all. This is a man who performs for a living and has rocked more than a few crowds in his time. That’s why his reaction is so meaningful to us. If you are able to impress someone who is as well accomplished as Luke Bryan, you know that you are definitely cooking with some gas.
The funny part is that Colin usually sings country songs. When he was asked why he decided to perform a Robyn song instead, he did not have a good answer. He is merely the vessel that the music travels through and he was not willing to take the credit for what happened here.
“Something’s laying it on my heart to do this one,” he said to the judges.
