When we are using our ceiling fans during the summer and winter months, there are a number of questions that need to be answered. For starters, has the ceiling fan been set on the proper rotation for the season of the year that you are in? That’s a key question and it is one that we have asked on a constant basis.

Your ceiling fan is not going to perform to the best of its ability if you are not setting the rotation properly. This might not seem like a very important thing to worry about, but once you notice the difference with your utility bills, you are sure to start caring more.

In the summer, the fan needs to be moving in reverse. In other words, make sure that the fan is moving counterclockwise. As for the winter months? All you need to do is reverse the motion. This allows the warm air to circulate more freely throughout the household, saving you a small fortune when it comes to your heating bill.

Those summertime air conditioning bills are no joke, either, so be sure to pass this handy tip along to all of your friends and loved ones. The ceiling fan cannot be relied upon by itself. It is not going to heat or cool the room without proper assistance.

Once you have made the necessary changes to your fan’s rotation, note the differences, and let us know about the changes. We can’t wait to hear more from you!
