Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

If you happen to be in the area of West Hollywood any time starting October 1, you may want to stop and enjoy dinner with a side of marijuana. The Lowell Café is the first legal cannabis Café in the United States and it has a cannabis consumption license ready for when they open next month. It other words, you can enjoy all of the cannabis flowers, vapes, pre-packaged edibles, concentrates, and extracts that you want at the establishment. This isn’t a dispensary, you purchase what you want and consume it at your table. This includes some fantastic food created by Chef Andrea Drummer.

Sept 24 is the official opening date for the @lowellcafe in #westhollywood. Tag the guest you’d bring as your +1 and what you’re hoping to order off @canna_queen71’s menu and we’ll pick a few of you to invite to a free meal.

This isn’t a free-for-all, however, you will need to meet the criteria to enjoy the establishment. This includes being at least 21 years of age with a valid ID. You can visit the Lowell Café between 10 AM and 2 AM on a daily basis. Be sure you don’t miss the ‘Last Call’ for all cannabis orders at 9:50. Just make sure you have what you want at your table and enjoy. If you happen to come in after 10 PM, you can always bring your own cannabis (BYOC).

You can call to make your reservation but they are filling up fast. Once you arrive at the restaurant you can stay for an hour and a half before you will have to leave. You also don’t have to partake if you come to the restaurant, you can just enjoy the menu, which is out of this world.

@lowellcafe is the first restaurant in America licensed to sell cannabis alongside a meal instead of wine. Is America ready for social public cannabis consumption? Will you visit our cafe when we open in September?

‘Flower Hosts’ will be there to take your order. Your host will tell you what strains are available, including some information about their origins and the psychedelic effects they have. You can then roll a doobie and enjoy.

As far as food is concerned, Chef Andrea has plenty to offer, especially if you have the munchies. Check out her Instagram page to see some pictures of the dishes she will be offering, such as a fried chicken sandwich or the miso soy candied pork belly. A menu preview was also offered by the Café, including some fantastic looking dishes, such as grilled peaches and burrata, crispy Brussels sprouts, and a Sweet FL(HIGH)T dessert plate. The menu will also include cocktails and the full menu is ‘meant to complement the heightened senses from cannabis consumption.’
