Lost jewelry stories do not tend to have the happiest of endings. In most instances, these items do not turn back up. They are either small and easy to lose or they are stolen by a passerby who ends up finding them.

This couple recently went through the nightmare and you will not believe how this story ends. They were in the process of having a beach photo shoot when the unthinkable happened.

The diamond ring went flying and landed somewhere in the sand. At this point, you would think that the seagulls would be more likely to find it than anyone else.

This couple runs a joint TikTok account under the name T&Kay. The video of this misfortune attracted over 20.5 million viewers, as you would expect. It’s such a relatable moment.

We have all experienced this level of frustration before. Friends, family, and even random passersby decided to help them out, though.

“That’s me, you’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation,” says the audio that plays over the TikTok video. As it turns out, she accidentally knocked the ring into the sand when she playfully tackled her partner as he was on his knee for a proposal picture.

They used their hands and a colander, and they were eventually able to get their hands on a metal detector. The sun was starting to set, the tide was starting to rise, and everything was looking very bleak.

It took hours of searching, but eventually, they were finally able to locate it!

“That’s how you know you did it right. You get a funny story to tell the kids,” said one viewer.

Here you guys go! #thereveal #ending #fyp #mypainisyourgain #proposalgonewrong #proposal #engagement #praisegod #thankyou This amazing photographer and human found my ring. While everyone else was using a flashlight and the netal detector…. All she had was her cell phone light and her hands. Photographers have good eyes!!!! Not only did her family come to the rescue they also stayed very later in the dark and cold. Im so lucky @Kira Miryam

So how did they track the ring down? We cannot believe it. After all of that effort that everyone put in, the photographer managed to find the ring with just her hands and the flashlight from her phone. Meanwhile, viewers were offering all sorts of advice to the couple. We hope that others were paying very close attention, so that this does not happen to them.

“PSA to people wanting any sort of photos on a beach like this, put a nice blanket down on the area and/or have the ring tied in the box!” one suggested. That makes all of the sense in the world. The couple was sure to share a follow-up clip, of course. We are glad to see that they were able to make this find before it was too late. This couple definitely has an awesome story to share going forward!
